10 Things to Include On a Wage Statement

In California, a wage statement has ten essential pieces of information that must be provided:
The employer’s legal name and address
The name of the employee and the last four digits of his/her social security number or an employee identification number
Net wages earned
The inclusive dates of the pay period
For employees paid on a piece-rate basis, the number of pieces rates unites earned, regardless of time worked
All deductions
Gross wages earned
All applicable hourly rates in effect during the pay period and the corresponding number of hours worked at each hourly rate
Total hours worked by a nonexempt, hourly employee
Available sick time
